Mix something old with something new and a lot of great ideas: and VOILA!
And here emerges Villa Uva Stella, which accommodates 12 people and has 6 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.
It's almost unnecessary to leave the villa once you've driven up the road and parked in front of the old stone villa. Because when you choose to spend your holiday here at Villa Uva Stella, there are incredibly many things to engage in.
Villa Uva Stella is located in beautiful Umbria, Italy's green heart, and offers a villa of over 200 square meters, a fenced garden with about 400 olive trees, and a large pool where you can splash, play, and relax as much as you want.
The pool (15 x 6 meters / 1.3 – 2.5 meters deep) is fenced and equipped with sun loungers for everyone. The pool has a good staircase, so if you're traveling with small children or if the adults don't want to go all the way in, you can easily sit on the steps and play or enjoy the surroundings. Even though the pool is fenced, it is beautifully adorned with climbing roses that bloom in the summer, and other bushes that contribute to creating life, coziness, and atmosphere.
Even if you live completely privately and get up from your sunbed, you can still enjoy the large old olive trees that stand proudly around the property.
If you want to stretch your legs during the day or take an evening stroll, you can take a walk among the many olive trees. You're also not far from the forest, which you can access via paths. In the forest, you can both cycle and explore, trying to spot some of the forest's many animals.
If you want to be active but don't want to leave the villa, it's also possible since the owners have set up a small "house" with a fitness area, including a bike and treadmill – you can also enjoy the view while exercising.
But let's go back to the large old stone villa, which also has a beautiful covered terrace. Villa Uva Stella is on 2 levels, and on the ground floor, you'll find a living room with sofas and a TV. Additionally, there's a large and lovely dining area with seating for all 12 people. Not to forget a really nice and modern kitchen, where you'll find a dishwasher, oven, cooktop, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, and ice cube function. Adjacent to the kitchen, there's a door leading out to a grill and a stone oven, where you can make authentic Italian pizzas.
On the ground floor, close to the kitchen, you'll also find a small bathroom that leads to the villa's SPA area. It's intimate and cozy, where you'll find a sauna and steam bath. It's also in this area that you'll find the washing machine and dryer, tucked away so it's not conspicuous but available if you need it during your vacation.
On the ground floor, you'll also find two double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with toilet and shower. To get to the first floor, you take the stairs up from the ground floor, and here you'll find 3 double rooms, all with bathrooms with shower and toilet. Two of the rooms also have balconies. The last room is located in an annex, perfect for the couple who wants a bit more privacy and tranquility than staying together under one roof.
Common to all rooms is that they have wardrobes, Italian details with terracotta floors, and the beautiful wooden beamed ceiling.
If you do decide to venture outside and explore some of Umbria, you won't be bored. You'll be about 2.8 km from the nearest small town, and for larger excursions, you can consider visiting Orvieto, Rome (about 1 hour and 40 minutes drive – also the airport I would choose to fly to if you want to fly and rent a car), or Lake Lago di Bolsena in the Lazio region, which is worth a visit. There, you can engage in water sports, explore many beautiful towns around the lake, including Bolsena, Marta, and Capodimonte, and there are various trails for walking and experiencing nature.
Furthermore, the owners are always ready to assist you and can help arrange babysitting, additional cleaning, pizza courses, cooking classes, or even a private chef for a special occasion. You can also enjoy wine tasting, truffle hunting, or spa experiences. The possibilities are many in Umbria and especially in Villa Uva Stella, which has truly set the stage for an exciting holiday.
