Luxury villa in private surroundings, nestled in the heart of Tuscany
Villa Pipistrelli accommodates up to 14 guests in total – 10 in the main villa and 4 in the annex – with a total of 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
Outdoor Area
This is a truly inviting villa, perfectly positioned for peace, tranquillity and breathtaking views, while still being just a 15-minute drive from Siena and ideally located for exploring what is, in my opinion, the most beautiful part of Tuscany.
The villa is a former 17th-century farmhouse, situated high on the hilltop of Montestigliano, surrounded by the stunning woodlands of the Siena hills. It is part of the Montestigliano borgo, located approximately a 10-minute walk from the villa. Guests are welcome to join the two weekly dinners held at the borgo, purchase the estate's own wine, or stop by the reception for tips and recommendations on the local area.
Surrounding the villa is a large garden overflowing with lush greenery, just as you would expect from the very best of the Tuscan countryside. The garden features a beautiful infinity pool (4.5 x 13 m), complete with sun loungers and parasols, where you can soak up the sunshine, unwind in peaceful surroundings, and enjoy the sweeping views across the Tuscan hills.
The Villa Interior
The villa has recently been renovated and is furnished in an elegant, contemporary style while retaining its authentic character with exposed wooden beams, natural materials and walls painted in soft, warm tones. Throughout the house, you will find carefully chosen textiles, rustic furnishings and high-quality finishes, creating an atmosphere that is both refined and welcoming.
The villa covers 349 m² and is arranged over two floors.
On the ground floor, there is an entrance hall, a spacious and fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with access to a small furnished terrace, and a comfortable living room with a beautiful built-in fireplace and direct access to another terrace, where you can enjoy the evening light with a cocktail in hand. This floor also offers two twin bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom with shower, as well as a small utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
A beautiful antique staircase leads to the first floor, where there is access to a covered terrace overlooking the courtyard. This floor features a large living room with an open fireplace, one twin bedroom and two double bedrooms, all with their own en-suite bathrooms with showers.
The adjoining annex offers, on its upper floor, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, each with its own en-suite bathroom with shower. An open staircase leads down to the lower floor, where you will find a kitchen with a dining area and a living room with a fireplace and large doors opening onto a furnished terrace. This terrace connects the two buildings and is sure to become the setting for many memorable hours spent together.
Every morning you can look forward to a delicious homemade breakfast buffet, which is included in the price. Daily housekeeping is also included, allowing you to fully relax during your stay. Additional services such as a private chef, cooking classes, massages, grocery shopping, bicycle rental and much more can also be arranged.
Experiences in the Area
The estate is perfectly located for walking, hiking and mountain biking through forests and open meadows. The Merse River is within easy reach and is an ideal spot for a picnic or a refreshing swim.
Close to the villa you will also find facilities for tennis, horse riding and even hot-air balloon flights, if you are looking for a truly memorable experience.
The historic towns of San Gimignano, Pienza, Cortona and Arezzo are all within easy driving distance and are undoubtedly charming gems well worth a visit.
Around 20 minutes away by car lies Siena, where you can experience the famous Il Palio horse race, held twice a year, or simply wander through the city's beautiful streets, discovering its many hidden treasures.
If you would like to visit a larger city, Florence is just over an hour's drive away. Rich in history, it is renowned for its culture, art and magnificent architecture.
