The villa's interior

This villa dates all the way back to the 16th century, when it served as a traditional farmhouse. Today, the villa has been beautifully renovated while still preserving its original character, including the classic floors, the lightened wooden ceiling beams and the old stone walls that can still be found throughout the house.

Villa Le Corchie is the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. It offers excellent facilities, while still maintaining a relaxed atmosphere where you can truly unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The ground floor features a comfortable living area with sofas and armchairs, a dining area and a kitchen equipped with an oven, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, electric kettle and toaster. On this floor, you will also find a bathroom and a laundry room with a washing machine, drying rack, ironing board and iron.

The first floor offers two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. One of the bedrooms also has a private small balcony – the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the beautiful views.

The second floor features the final two bedrooms and one shared bathroom.

The outdoor area

Outside, you will find an outdoor kitchen with a sink and gas hob. On the same terrace, there is also a covered dining area with a table and chairs, offering impressive views across the Tuscan countryside.

Throughout the property, there are several cosy corners where you can sit and enjoy a refreshing drink, read a book or simply spend a quiet moment surrounded by nature. The garden is arranged over several levels, creating a wonderful atmosphere around the villa.

From the terrace, steps lead down to the large swimming pool. The pool has built-in Roman steps, making it easy for both adults and children to enter and exit the water when a refreshing swim is needed after enjoying the warm Tuscan sunshine.

The pool and garden are surrounded by olive trees, cypress trees, bushes and flowers, all contributing to the authentic Tuscan atmosphere.

The surrounding area

Villa Le Corchie is located only 5 km from the centre of Cortona. Here you will find everything you need, including local markets, supermarkets, small shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, museums and much more.

Cortona is an ancient medieval town with a rich history, and you can easily spend hours exploring its charming streets and discovering its many treasures.

If you would like to be more active or experience more of the surrounding nature, a visit to Lake Trasimeno is highly recommended. The lake is only 20 km away and offers plenty of opportunities for activities and experiences. You can enjoy walks along the lakeside in one of the charming towns, take a boat trip to one of the lake’s three islands, or explore the area by hiking or cycling.
