Beautiful villa of 250 sqm near Cortona

The villa measures 250 m² and accommodates 8 guests across four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. This makes it particularly suitable for two families or a group of friends who would like to spend their holiday together without compromising on space and privacy.

Villa La Pergola is ideal for guests who would like their own villa and private pool while staying close to one of Tuscany’s most atmospheric towns. Here, you can enjoy a countryside setting with plenty of space around you, just 5 km from Cortona.

The interior is classically Tuscan, with terracotta floors, exposed wooden beams and warm, rustic details. At the same time, the house is comfortably arranged for a holiday where several guests can enjoy spending time together.

The layout of the villa

On the ground floor, you will find the spacious living room with sofas, armchairs and a fireplace. There is plenty of room to gather after a day by the pool or an excursion to Cortona.

The large kitchen has a modern design and is equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher, oven and American-style fridge-freezer. Here, you can prepare your holiday meals using local produce from the market or one of the many small food shops in the area. The kitchen has direct access to the outdoor dining area.

On the same floor, there is a double bedroom with its own private bathroom.

On the first floor, there are two further large and bright double bedrooms, both with their own private bathrooms. The villa’s fourth bedroom is located on the second floor and also has its own bathroom.

All four bedrooms have air conditioning and mosquito nets.

A staircase from the living room leads down to the lower ground floor, where there is an additional living room and a washing machine. Please note that there is no air conditioning in the basement.

Outdoor living

The garden offers views of the surrounding countryside. Around the house, there are two covered terraces with tables and chairs, giving you the choice of shade during the middle of the day and a comfortable place to sit outside on warm summer evenings.

The terrace is a lovely place to begin the day with breakfast before the pool starts calling. Later, you can gather for lunch or light the barbecue and enjoy dinner outdoors.

The pool is located on the other side of the house. It measures 4 x 8 metres and is surrounded by sun loungers and a parasol. Children can enjoy the water while the adults find a place in the sun or shade.

The villa also has both a barbecue and a pizza oven, giving you plenty of opportunities to make shared meals part of the holiday experience.

Cortona and eastern Tuscany

Cortona is one of those towns that quickly makes you want to return. Behind the old town walls, you will find steep streets, small squares, cafés, wine bars and restaurants. You can wander through the narrow lanes, sit down with a coffee in Piazza della Repubblica or enjoy dinner as the town gradually grows quieter in the evening.

The villa is also well placed for day trips. Lake Trasimeno is only 8 km away, and you can easily visit Castiglione del Lago, Montepulciano, Arezzo and Perugia. This gives you plenty of opportunities to combine peaceful days at the villa with markets, vineyards, medieval towns and some of the area’s excellent restaurants.
