Authentic holiday in the Tuscan countryside near Cortona
Villa Il Giardino di Diana accommodates 12–15 guests*, with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
The villa's outdoor area
Villa Il Giardino di Diana is a charming country house, beautifully situated in a gently rolling landscape surrounded by characteristic hills covered with olive groves and vineyards. From the swimming pool, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the countryside stretching towards Cortona.
The pleasant scent of herbs fills the air throughout the outdoor areas, which are fully equipped to provide guests with maximum comfort. The large wrought-iron gazebo is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco dining, both during the day and in the evening, when the lighting from the garden and the house creates a truly enchanting atmosphere.
The villa's interior
Inside, the villa is spacious, bright and welcoming, featuring characteristic elements of traditional country architecture, including brick-vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, wall niches and terracotta floors, all beautifully complemented by comfortable and inviting furnishings.
The villa consists of two connected apartments. Each apartment features a living room, a dining room, a large fully equipped kitchen, three spacious double bedrooms and two bathrooms. In the apartment on the first floor, a stone staircase leads up to the loft, where a cosy lounge area has been created – the perfect place to sit back and relax with a good book.
For groups of 6–7 guests travelling outside the high season, only one of the apartments will be available. However, you will still have exclusive use of the swimming pool, terrace and the surrounding outdoor areas. During the high season, both apartments are available regardless of the size of your group.
For the final three guests, there is a double sofa bed located in the loft, and an extra bed will be placed in the largest bedroom on the ground floor.
The surrounding area
Located in the heart of the Valdichiana valley, Villa Il Giardino di Diana is the ideal base for exploring the area's charming villages and Tuscany's famous historic cities.
In Camucia, you will find several supermarkets and a few restaurants, although I would recommend continuing on to Cortona, where you will discover a wide selection of cosy restaurants. The town also offers small shops, picturesque streets to wander through and museums waiting to be explored.
If you would like to be active and spend some time by the water, a visit to Lake Trasimeno is highly recommended. Here you can enjoy a range of activities, take a boat trip on the lake, go for a swim or dine at one of the charming lakeside restaurants.
Villa Il Giardino di Diana is situated in a wonderfully peaceful area with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the beautiful olive trees.
