Villa I Due Casali has space for 18–20 people, distributed across 9 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.
The outdoor area
The villa is located in the green and lush surroundings of Umbria, also known as the “green heart of Italy”. The villa itself is surrounded by a beautiful and well-maintained garden that perfectly complements the charming brick architecture and traditional construction.
In addition to the garden with flowers, fruit trees, succulents, herbs, a playground and lawn areas, you will of course also find the wonderful pool area. The pool is a saltwater pool (14 x 11 m, depth 1.2–1.5 m), where you can enjoy many relaxing hours swimming, admiring the views, or simply unwinding on one of the sun loungers. Around the pool area, you will find sunbeds and parasols, as well as a lovely terrace area where you can sit and fully take in the surrounding landscape. There is also the possibility of finding shade beneath the trees nearby.
From the outside, Villa I Due Casali has retained its authentic architectural style, while the interior has been carefully renovated to add modern comforts while preserving the classic features of Umbrian design.
The villa’s interior
The property consists of two buildings. In the main building, you will find a shared kitchen, a large living room, 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, as well as a utility room with a washing machine.
On the ground floor, there is a spacious living area where you can enjoy meals around the long dining table and relax by the fireplace – especially cosy during the colder months. In summer, you can make use of the outdoor terrace overlooking the valley and the green mountains on the horizon. The terrace is connected to the kitchen, making it easy to bring your meals outside. In the garden, you will also find a built-in barbecue, perfect for preparing delicious homemade meals. You are welcome to pick fruit, vegetables and herbs from the garden when cooking during your stay.
In the adjoining building, there is a lovely kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on the ground floor. The first floor is divided into 2 apartments, each with a kitchen, one bedroom and one bathroom.
There is the possibility of accommodating 2 additional guests* on extra beds in two of the rooms. Eight of the bedrooms have double beds, while the last bedroom has two single beds.
The surrounding area
You are only a 5-minute walk from the nearest village, Preggio, where you will find a restaurant, bar, small grocery shop (with basic essentials) and a post office.
The villa is also only 15 km from Lake Trasimeno, where almost only your imagination sets the limits for the experiences available. You can cycle around the lake, swim, sail, go rafting, horseback riding, hiking, explore caves or take a boat trip to the nature park on the island of Isola Polvese. There are also many beautiful and charming towns around the lake that are well worth visiting.
If you need a larger supermarket, you can visit Mercatale (12.5 km away) or Umbertide (approximately 20 km away), where you will find a Coop supermarket.
You are also only 40 minutes from Perugia, the largest city in Umbria, offering restaurants, shops, fascinating architecture, beautiful streets and much more.
When choosing Villa I Due Casali, you will have plenty of space for a large family gathering as well as several groups of friends travelling together. The villa is perfectly located for exploring Umbria, while also offering excellent opportunities to discover the famous neighbouring region of Tuscany.
