The most beautiful sunset over Castiglion Fiorentino from the rooftop terrace.
Villa Casupoli accommodates up to 6 guests across 3 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms.
Inside the villa
At Villa Casupoli, you will find a beautiful and modern villa where contemporary design meets classic Tuscan style. The villa is arranged over 2 floors. On the ground floor, you will find 3 double bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom with shower and toilet. All the bedrooms are spacious and decorated in light colours with beautiful antique furniture that helps create a classic Tuscan atmosphere. All bedrooms are also equipped with air conditioning.
Moving up to the 1st floor, you will find the large living area with a kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating area. The kitchen is equipped with a cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, electric kettle and wine cooler, as well as everything you need to prepare meals at home after shopping at one of the local markets.
By the kitchen, you will also find bar stools, so some of you can keep the cooks company while the food is being prepared. Naturally, there is also a dining table with chairs as well as a cosy corner with sofas.
The dining table is modern, yet it has its own special history. The wood used for the table comes from an old tree on the property, and the owners have chosen to add a glass tabletop. This allows the wood to remain a visible part of the interior and brings a little piece of the property's history inside the villa.
On the 1st floor, you will also find an additional toilet, so there is no need to go downstairs.
The villa's outdoor area
There is no doubt that when you arrive at Villa Casupoli, your attention will quickly be drawn to the large swimming pool and the rooftop terrace, where the views are truly breathtaking. From here, you can look out over Castiglion Fiorentino and the surrounding countryside and watch the sun set over Tuscany.
Directly from the villa, you can step out onto the terrace, where you can enjoy your meals in the open air. Here, you will find tables, chairs and parasols, allowing you to find some shade from the sun. Around the 6 x 12 metre (1,1 - 1,8 metre deep) swimming pool, sun loungers are ready for you to relax on after a refreshing swim. Want to completely unwind? Head over to the villa's jacuzzi, turn it on and enjoy a little extra luxury surrounded by greenery.
On the rooftop terrace, you will find lounge furniture and a lovely spot to settle down with a good book. There are also parasols, allowing you to relax in the shade while enjoying the views across the surrounding area.
The villa is situated in the heart of the characteristic Tuscan countryside, surrounded by olive groves and the Le Comunanze pine forest, allowing you to enjoy nature right on your doorstep.
Experiences in the area
The villa is surrounded by around 400 olive trees, and every autumn the olives are harvested and used to produce the property's own olive oil. If you visit Villa Casupoli at this time of year, you may be lucky enough to experience the olive harvest and see the work that the owners and locals put into bringing in the year's crop.
When you feel like exploring beyond the villa, you will find several charming towns within a short drive. The nearest Coop supermarket is approximately 4.7 km away, and Castiglion Fiorentino can be reached in around 10 minutes by car. Here, you will find restaurants, bars and shops among the old streets and small squares. Every Friday, there is also a local market where you can browse the different stalls and perhaps combine your visit with a coffee or lunch in town.
Cortona is approximately 20 minutes by car from the villa and is certainly worth a visit. This historic Etruscan town sits high in the landscape overlooking the Val di Chiana. Here, you can wander through the charming streets, browse the small shops and stop for a break at one of the town's cafés or restaurants.
If you would like to experience more of Tuscany, Arezzo is approximately 35 minutes away. Here, you will find a little more city life with shops and restaurants, while the historic centre and Piazza Grande remain the natural heart of the city.
You can also head towards Lake Trasimeno, where towns such as Tuoro sul Trasimeno, Passignano sul Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago are approximately 35 to 40 minutes from the villa. Spend a day by the lake and explore some of the small towns along the water.
For a slightly longer day trip, you can visit Pienza and the beautiful Val d'Orcia, approximately 1 hour away. Here, you will discover the Tuscany many people dream of, with rolling hills, cypress trees, vineyards and small historic towns.
