A lovely villa with a central location for excursions

Poggio alle Case is an authentic country house of 80 m², accommodating up to 6 guests. Here, you will stay in peaceful rural surroundings, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, just a short drive from the tiny village of Pieve a Presciano.

The house is well suited to those looking for a relaxing holiday with a private swimming pool and a great base for exploring Tuscany. The interior is simple, cosy, and has retained the authentic atmosphere that characterises many traditional Tuscan country homes.

The Villa's Interior

On the ground floor, you will find the living room with a dining area and a well equipped kitchen featuring a stove, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine.

Three steps lead to a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower.

From the living room, a staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find two additional bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, while the other is furnished with two single beds. Both bedrooms on the first floor are equipped with air conditioning. You will also find the house's second bathroom with a shower on this floor.

The house is also equipped with satellite TV, an iron, an ironing board, and a barbecue for your use.

The Villa's Outdoor Area

From the living room, you have direct access to the garden and terrace, furnished with a table and chairs, where you can enjoy your meals outdoors.

The private swimming pool measures 4 x 8 metres and has a depth of 1.20 metres. Here, you can relax while enjoying views of the surrounding vineyards, while the children play on the lawn.

The Area

Poggio alle Case is set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, surrounded by vineyards, fields, and olive groves. It is a peaceful setting where you will quickly settle into the relaxed atmosphere that characterises the area.

You will be staying in the countryside, where the roads consist of both asphalt and gravel. The gravel roads are maintained regularly, but weather conditions may occasionally make them a little uneven.

The small village of Pieve a Presciano is approximately 1 km from the house. Here, you will find a local bar, although the village becomes smaller year by year. For grocery shopping, we recommend visiting Bucine or Levane, both approximately 10 km away, where you will find supermarkets.

Poggio alle Case is also an excellent base if you would like to explore some of Tuscany's larger and authentic cities, such as Siena, Arezzo, and Florence, during your holiday.

Your Hosts

The family owns a total of six country houses in the area, several of which have been selected by Local Living.

For generations, the family has cultivated vineyards and olive groves, and producing their own extra virgin olive oil remains an important part of everyday life. Upon arrival, you will meet the family at their reception, where you will receive your keys along with practical information before continuing to the house.

The building next to Poggio alle Case is occupied by a member of staff who works at the family's vineyard. He is rarely at home, and when he is, he keeps to himself, allowing you to continue enjoying your holiday in peaceful surroundings.
