An estate with beautiful views, good food and a relaxed atmosphere

Soiano is one of those places that is actually quite easy to describe, because it offers so much of what many people dream of when they travel to Tuscany. Here you will find homemade food several times during the week, a pool with a children’s pool, a fitness room, plenty of space around you and a relaxed atmosphere where the holiday quickly finds its own gentle rhythm.

Add to this the captivating views over the Tuscan hills, and you have a place where both children and adults can settle in and feel at ease. Soiano is for those who wish to stay in peaceful and scenic surroundings, while still having the opportunity to enjoy a sense of community, good meals and excursions to some of Tuscany’s most beloved towns.

The property has recently been taken over by new owners, who are continuing Soiano in the same spirit. The warm, informal atmosphere and love for the place have been preserved, while new improvements are being made on an ongoing basis. This means that Soiano remains a place with soul, but also a place in development, where the new owners are leaving their mark with care and consideration.

Experiences in the area

Soiano is located in the triangle between Florence, Pisa and Siena, in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tuscany. This is an excellent place to stay if you would like to combine relaxing holiday days by the pool with excursions to some of the region’s best-known towns.

The nearest town is Montaione, a small medieval town with a few shops, a large supermarket, restaurants and cafés. Events are often held in the town square, which is a natural gathering place for the local community.

From Soiano, you can take day trips to places such as San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo, Florence, Pisa and Siena. It is also a good area for those who enjoy walking, cycling, playing golf or simply driving through the countryside to discover small towns, local restaurants and beautiful viewpoints.

The apartments at the property

The country estate consists of 8 apartments. Some of the apartments have their own private terrace, while the others use the shared outdoor areas, where there is garden furniture and pleasant spots to sit and relax.

The interiors are typically Tuscan, with a simple and rustic style. All apartments have mosquito nets on the windows, and from the apartments there is a short distance to the pool area, the shared areas and the restaurant in the main building.

In the restaurant, you can enjoy homemade food during the week. The restaurant is also open to external guests at selected times, but the atmosphere remains relaxed and personal. Opening hours and the number of dinners may vary depending on the season, so we always recommend checking the current options when booking.

Between the apartments and the restaurant, there is a covered terrace with long tables and benches, a table tennis table and refrigerators with drinks. From here, there is a view of the pool, and the area naturally becomes a gathering point during the day and for the shared meals in the evening.

Pool, views and shared experiences

The pool area is one of the places where Soiano truly comes into its own. The pool is surrounded by lawn and enjoys panoramic views over hills and mountains that seem to continue as far as the eye can see.

The large pool measures 21 x 7 metres and is 140 cm deep. Next to it, there is a children’s pool measuring 80 cm in depth, making the property a good choice for families with children. Around the pool, there are sun loungers and parasols, and there is plenty of space for both play, relaxation and quiet moments with a view.

Next to the pool, you will find the fitness room with various machines and weights. In addition, there is a shared barbecue, internet in the shared areas, as well as table football and table tennis for guests to use freely.

In the local area, there are good opportunities for both activities and experiences. For example, horseback riding is available at La Fiaba, located approx. 2 km away. You can also go running and walking in the nearby woodland areas, including Benestare.

During the summer months, there are typically shared dinners and special evenings with local dishes, grilled meat or music. This is part of the special atmosphere at Soiano, where you can meet the other guests around the table, while still being able to retreat to your own apartment whenever you wish to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Practical information

From the main road to Soiano, there is approx. 1.3 km of gravel road. The owners do their best to maintain the road, but as is often the case in the Tuscan countryside, you should expect it to have a more rustic character than an ordinary paved road.

Soiano is a good choice for families, groups of friends and several generations travelling together, who would like a holiday with a pool, good food, beautiful views and the possibility of enjoying a sense of community. It is also well suited if you wish to celebrate a special occasion in beautiful surroundings.

There is room for approx. 30 guests, which makes the property relevant for birthdays, golden wedding anniversaries, weddings or another special event where you would like to gather family and friends in Tuscany.
