A truly magnificent view that stretches farther than the eye can see

Close to Umbria, yet positioned with the most stunning views, you’ll find Villa Poggio Sereno, accommodating 8 people across 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

From the villa’s pool area, you can enjoy an expansive view over the Val di Chiana valley. On clear days, you might even catch a glimpse of Lake Trasimeno and the peaks of Monte Amiata and Monte Cetona. This is far from a dull view!

The pool (7 x 14 m and 140 - 250 cm deep) is perfectly situated to take in the scenery, so there’s no compromise while kids and the young at heart splash around. There’s a set of stairs allowing you to gently step in or sit and adjust to the water’s temperature. At the other end of the pool, you’ll find a ladder to climb out, and a diving board! I imagine you’ll have a lot of fun with that.

Around the pool, there are sun loungers, and a shower so you can rinse off before and after your swim. If any of you want some shade while staying close to the family, there’s a small terrace with a canopy, sofas, and chairs—a truly cozy little spot.

You’ll find several of these spots around the property where you can relax, either with the whole family or alone.

It’s also here that you’ll find the built-in grill, perfect for when you want to create your own pizzas.

The garden offers many lovely trees, shrubs, and flowers that pop up here and there. Among the olive trees, there’s a small play area with swings. Right next to it is a ping pong table, set in the shade with lights so you can continue your family battles even as dusk sets in.

Villa Poggio Sereno is spread over two levels. From the ground floor, you have direct access to the covered terrace, pool, and grill area. From the first floor, you’ll step out to the ping pong table and swings.

From the covered terrace on the ground floor, you enter directly into the charming kitchen with delightful little details. The kitchen is open to the dining area and living room with sofas. Beyond the sofas, there’s a small doorway leading to a hallway, which takes you to a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with a shower. From here, a corridor leads you to another double bedroom and a twin room. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower.

To reach the first floor, you head back to the living room and take the stairs. Here, you’ll find a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a sitting area with a small sofa. From here, you have direct access to the garden.

You’re just 5 km away from the fantastic town of Cortona, a place close to Local Living’s heart. This is a medieval town with small shops, restaurants, and bars perfect for an aperol spritz, and so much more. Let yourself wander through the town’s narrow streets, slow down, and soak up the entire atmosphere.

On clear days, you can catch a glimpse of Lake Trasimeno, which is only 21 km away. This beautiful spot offers plenty of opportunities for both active, exploratory, and relaxing holidays. The lake has hiking and biking trails around it, quaint towns offering local dishes, small spots where you can step into the water, or find a boat and discover one of the islands.
