The Villa's Surroundings

The villa's pool area offers spectacular views across the Val di Chiana valley, stretching as far as the eye can see. On clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of Lake Trasimeno, as well as the distant peaks of Monte Amiata and Monte Cetona. The scenery here is anything but ordinary.

The swimming pool (7 x 14 m, depth 140–240 cm) is perfectly positioned to make the most of the views, allowing you to relax while children – and the young at heart – enjoy a refreshing swim. Roman steps provide easy access into the pool, making it possible to ease gently into the water, while at the opposite end you will find a ladder – and even a diving board! That is sure to provide plenty of family fun.

Sun loungers surround the pool, and an outdoor shower is available for rinsing off before and after your swim. If some of your group would prefer a little shade while still being close to everyone else, a charming covered terrace with sofas and chairs provides the perfect place to relax.

Several inviting seating areas can be found throughout the grounds, offering peaceful spots where you can unwind together or enjoy a quiet moment on your own.

The garden also features a built-in barbecue, ideal for preparing your own al fresco dinners.

Lush gardens with mature trees, shrubs and colourful flowers create a peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. Among the olive trees, you will find a small play area with swings, and right beside it a table tennis table, positioned in the shade and equipped with lighting, allowing your family tournaments to continue long after sunset.

The Villa Interior

Villa Poggio Sereno is arranged over two floors. From the ground floor, you have direct access to the inviting covered terrace, the swimming pool and the barbecue area, while the first floor opens directly onto the garden near the table tennis table and swings.

The covered terrace leads straight into the charming kitchen, filled with lovely character and thoughtful details. The kitchen is open-plan with the dining area and comfortable living room.

Beyond the living area, a hallway leads to a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower. Continuing along the corridor, you will find another double bedroom and a twin bedroom. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower.

Returning to the living room, a staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find a further double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower and a cosy sitting area with a small sofa. From here, there is direct access to the garden.

The villa is located just 5 km from the wonderful town of Cortona, a place that holds a very special place in the heart of Local Living.
