The villa is beautifully situated on a hill with a fantastic view of the Tuscan countryside, and especially the view over Lake Chiusi, which creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the surroundings.

I find that the setting naturally makes you want to slow down, lower the pace and simply enjoy life — perhaps with a glass of wine in your hand.

Poggio Lago is surrounded by beautiful nature, and if your holiday is all about pure relaxation, there is almost no need to leave the property. However, the nearest town, Chiusi, is only 4.5 km away — the town’s lake is the one you can see from the villa. In Chiusi, you will find shopping opportunities and a few restaurants.

If you would like to get some extra steps in before heading home, you can take a walk around Lake Chiusi. And if that is not enough, Lake Trasimeno is also located nearby.

The Villa’s Outdoor Areas

Poggio Lago is a villa dating back to the 18th century, which has been carefully renovated over the years. Today, the villa is a beautiful combination of traditional Tuscany, reflecting its original character, together with modern touches that give the impression that the villa has followed the times.

Around the villa, you will find not only terraces where you can relax and a refreshing swimming pool for warm summer days, but also a garden that is an important part of the experience. The garden is filled with different varieties of roses, lavender, herbs and a 100-year-old fig tree — whose fruits can be enjoyed at the end of August.

The Villa

Here, you are welcomed by a 135 m² villa. Inside, you will find a living area with sofa beds and a fireplace. The kitchen also includes a dining area.

The villa offers two bedrooms with double beds, both with their own private bathrooms. In addition, there is another bedroom with three sleeping places, which also has its own private bathroom.

This villa is perfect for those who love staying surrounded by nature and enjoying breathtaking views — both from the pool area and from the terrace.
