This independent, traditional stone villa with a private swimming pool and breathtaking views over the Chianti countryside is located just 200 metres from the old village of Montegonzi.

The Villa Offers

The property La Forra is located only 300 metres away and offers a wide range of facilities and services that guests staying at Podere Vecciale can enjoy, as both properties belong to the same owners. These include a tennis court (free of charge), horse riding, olive oil tastings (La Forra’s main production is its organic olive oil), cooking classes, organised excursions with guided visits to historic cities such as Siena, Florence and Arezzo, as well as wine tastings at the famous wineries of Chianti.

In addition, guests have access to a fitness room, the possibility of booking yoga lessons and arranging massage treatments.

Podere Vecciale is reached via a short private road which is not paved but is very easy to drive on. The road takes you through the classic Chianti landscape, surrounded by gently rolling green hills and olive groves.

The private swimming pool, approximately 14 x 5 metres (depth 1.10–3.5 metres), is perfectly positioned in the large garden with an adjoining sun terrace, where you can enjoy the magnificent views over the valley.

The villa offers large outdoor areas, a barbecue, spacious terraces and a pergola where you can enjoy lunch and dinner outdoors. There is also another large terrace with sun loungers and a small lounge area.

The Villa

The house is built over two levels and follows the natural layout of the land, meaning that both floors can be accessed directly from the outdoor areas without using stairs.

The rustic and cosy interior of Podere Vecciale is decorated in authentic Tuscan style.

The villa accommodates eight guests in four bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom (four bedrooms and four bathrooms).

The ground floor consists of a living room, one double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower, and one bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom with shower. All rooms have direct access to the terrace.

The upper floor features a fully equipped and spacious kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, coffee machine and moka pot. This floor also includes one bedroom with two single beds, one bedroom with a double bed, one bathroom with shower, one bathroom with bathtub, and a combined living and dining room. There is also a large terrace.

The Area Where You Stay

Just a few hundred metres away, you will find the small medieval village of Montegonzi, which has a small local shop. Supermarkets, pharmacies and many other shops are located only 10 km away in Cavriglia.

In the town of Montevarchi, you will find, among other things, a large supermarket, weekly markets and an outlet shopping area.

You are also within easy reach of some of Tuscany’s most fascinating destinations, including Florence, Arezzo and, not least, San Gimignano, a charming medieval town known for its beautiful towers and historic atmosphere.
