Beautiful villa in true Tuscan style with breathtaking views

Podere La Silva is a villa for 10–15 guests, it has 5 bedrooms in the villa with 12 sleeping places + apartment in the annex with 3 sleeping places.

The villa's outdoor areas

A charming 200 m² stone house, situated on a peaceful hillside with beautiful views and surrounded by a garden with olive trees, approximately 65 km south of Siena.

Next to the main house is a two storey annex where the owners live on the first floor. They work in agriculture and are more than happy to help if you have any questions. On the ground floor there is a 50 m² apartment for rent, ideal for two adults and one child. The apartment can only be rented together with the main house.

On the garden side there is a large, lovely terrace with a table, chairs, barbecue and pizza oven. From here you can enjoy views of the garden, the swimming pool and the breathtaking rolling countryside. The swimming pool is heated, which is especially enjoyable at the beginning and end of the season. The pool area is enclosed by a wire fence, which is not shown in the photos.

The owners raise sheep and black pigs, and they also have horses. It is therefore possible to take riding lessons, and daily horseback excursions are available at reasonable prices on a nearby property. The owners are also happy to prepare traditional Tuscan dishes for guests upon request – easy and convenient.

The villa's interior

The villa is arranged over two floors and has 10 beds plus 2 extra beds. The interior is decorated in authentic Tuscan style and is full of charm – no two rooms are alike. There are 5 bedrooms with a total of 10 beds plus 2 single beds. There are many stairs throughout the villa, and in some cases you even need to use steps to access the bathroom directly from the bedroom.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with a queen size bed and direct access to a bathroom with shower, a living room with TV and fireplace, and five steps lead from the living room up to the dining room with fireplace and a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine.

On the first floor there are two triple bedrooms, each with a queen size double bed and one single bed, both with direct access to a bathroom with shower. There is also a double bedroom with a double bed, a small kitchenette and direct access to a bathroom with shower, as well as a lovely terrace, and a double bedroom with a queen size bed and direct access to a bathroom with shower.

The area

Seggiano is only 5 km from the villa and has a small supermarket, restaurants, a pharmacy and a post office. Grosseto is 60 km away, and it is only about an hour's drive to the summit of Monte Amiata, the highest mountain between Siena and Grosseto. The village of Castel del Piano is approximately 11 km away and offers supermarkets (Coop and Carrefour), restaurants, bars and a bank.

WiFi is available at La Silva, but due to the thick walls of the house, the signal is only really strong outside the house.
