Set high on a hillside and away from the hustle and bustle, this charming agriturismo welcomes you with horses grazing in the paddocks before Serena and Alessandro greet you and your family with genuine Italian hospitality. Peace, tranquillity and heartfelt warmth are everywhere, making a stay here a different kind of luxury.

The couple fell in love with the property in 1996 and transformed it into an organic farm while carefully restoring the buildings so they could welcome guests and share their passion for nature and the simple pleasures of rural life. With just five holiday apartments and two guest rooms, this is an intimate property where you will most likely get to know the other guests during your stay.

Food is at the heart of the experience here. The farm produces its own wine, olive oil, fruit and vegetables, while the remaining ingredients are sourced locally. Everything is organic. Every evening, except Thursdays, dinner is served in the restaurant, where Serena herself prepares delicious traditional dishes for everyone to enjoy together. Breakfast is also served here each morning and offers a wonderful selection of homemade treats to start the day.

These two meals are the highlights of the day, but there is always the option of having a freshly prepared pasta dish delivered to your apartment or enjoying a light lunch served in the shade by the swimming pool. If you prefer to cook for yourselves, you can purchase local specialities in the reception. The estate's own wine is also available to buy and is currently priced at just €6 per litre, making it excellent value for a delicious house wine.

Of the five apartments, one is a larger apartment with three bedrooms, while the remaining four are one-bedroom apartments with a sofa bed in the living area. The apartments are spread across two separate buildings, and each has its own private outdoor area.

Although every apartment is different, they are all comfortably furnished in calm, neutral colours with quality materials. Each apartment includes a kitchenette, a bathroom, air conditioning, mosquito screens, Wi-Fi and satellite TV.

A short walk from the apartments you will find the large swimming pool (15.5 x 5.5 metres), surrounded by sun loungers, deck chairs and seven parasols. The pool is open all year round and sits within a spacious lawn dotted with fruit trees, providing plenty of room for children to play.

The gently flowing water creates a peaceful atmosphere, and it is easy to lose track of time while admiring the beautiful views across the olive groves and rolling countryside.

Another highlight of the property is Alessandro's riding school, home to four very different horses. Guests can book riding lessons or join guided rides through the surrounding landscape.

The farm is also home to many other animals, with new arrivals joining from time to time. This is a wonderful place for animals in need of extra care, and the local veterinarian knows it well. Alessandro looks after every animal with great affection, and if your children would like to, they are welcome to accompany him on his early morning feeding rounds. Along the way, they can meet Gepetto the donkey, Zizu the pig, Dante the tame wild boar and Nutella the Shetland pony, to name just a few of the farm's many friendly residents.

Serena and Alessandro live on the property themselves in an apartment above the reception, so they are always nearby should you need anything during your stay.

The countryside surrounding the agriturismo is ideal for walking, hiking and running, as well as exploring on horseback with Alessandro. There are also two fishing lakes nearby.

The nearest town, Rufina, is just 4 km away and offers supermarkets, restaurants and a railway station. Florence is only 23 km from the property, and taking the train is highly recommended, as it brings you directly into the heart of the city quickly and conveniently.
