The Area Where You Stay

The country house Podere Casciano is located in the hills of the northern Val d'Era valley. From here, it is easy to reach the cultural cities of Volterra, San Gimignano, Pisa, Florence, Siena and Lucca. You can also visit the spa resort of Casciana Terme, which is located approximately 10 minutes from the property.

Podere Casciano is situated just outside the small, charming town of Chianni. The town centre is only a few kilometres away, and if you are up for a challenge, you can walk there via the local trails. In Chianni, you will find a small selection of restaurants, a bar and a mini market.

If you dream of visiting some of the local wineries, the owners recommend, among others, Podere Il Gallettino, which is also located in Chianni and can even be reached on foot. Other nearby wineries include Azienda Castelvecchio in Terricciola, approximately 6.7 km away, Fattoria Fibbiano in Terricciola, around 11 km away, and La Spinetta Casanova, approximately 10 km from the property.

The Apartments

There are five apartments of different sizes, accommodating between two and six guests. All apartments have their own private outdoor area with a table and chairs.

The Many Facilities at the Property

For those looking for a holiday in peaceful countryside surroundings, Podere Casciano is the ideal choice. The property is also well suited to families with children, offering excellent facilities such as a playground, sandpit and other children's activities. When you feel like a change of scenery, the coast is only about a 35-minute drive away.

The property features a swimming pool with a whirlpool, open from mid-May until early October. A barbecue and pizza oven are available in the shared outdoor area, and there are lovely covered terraces where you can sit and enjoy your meals for hours.

During October, November and December, you will have the opportunity to experience the local traditions surrounding the olive harvest and the subsequent pressing of the olives.

If you are looking for more active pursuits, there is a tennis court, table football, table tennis, open space for ball games and mountain bikes, all of which are available free of charge.

The young hosts, Lorenzo and Donatella, work on the estate themselves and are continuously renovating the property. Great care has been taken to preserve both the natural surroundings and the traditional Tuscan architectural style.
