Lovely country house near Arezzo

Casale il Loggiato is a simple and authentic country house of 130 m², accommodating up to 6 guests. Here, you will stay in peaceful rural surroundings close to the tiny village of Pieve a Presciano, where life moves at a slower pace and everyday life still follows traditional Italian rhythms.

The Villa's Interior

The house is accessed via a covered loggia (25 m²) furnished with a table and chairs.

Upstairs, you will find the living room with an open plan kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher. The living area also includes a sofa.

The house has three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are air conditioned and each is furnished with two single beds, while the third bedroom has a double bed. There are also two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower. A washing machine is available for your use.

The interior is authentic, simple, and cosy, creating a relaxed Italian atmosphere rather than a modern luxury experience.

The Villa's Outdoor Area

From the living room, you have direct access to the terrace, furnished with a table and chairs, where you can enjoy your meals or a glass of wine in the evening sun.

The house also features a private swimming pool (6 x 12 metres with a depth of 1.20 metres). Around the pool, there is plenty of space to relax while enjoying views of the surrounding fields. There is also a large lawn where you can bring a football or garden games and enjoy a friendly family tournament during your stay.

The Area

Casale il Loggiato is surrounded by the beautiful Tuscan countryside with fields, vineyards, and olive groves. It is a peaceful setting where you will quickly settle into the relaxed atmosphere that characterises this part of Tuscany.

You will be staying in the countryside, where the roads consist of both asphalt and gravel. The gravel roads are maintained regularly, but due to weather conditions they may occasionally be a little uneven.

The tiny village of Pieve a Presciano is approximately 1 km from the house. Here you will find a bar and a couple of local restaurants. There is not much left in the village today, and it is mainly used by the local residents. As a result, you should not expect everyone to speak English if you decide to visit. The nearest supermarkets are located in Bucine and Levane, both around 10 km away.

The house is also well positioned for day trips to Arezzo, Siena, and Florence, while the scenic areas of Valdichiana and Valdambra are all within easy driving distance.

Your Hosts

The family owns six country houses in the area, five of which have been selected by Local Living: Casale La Valle, Casale Il Giglio, Casale Presciano, Poggio alle Case, and Casale il Loggiato.

For generations, the family has cultivated vineyards and olive groves, and producing their own extra virgin olive oil remains an important part of everyday life. You will first meet the family at their reception, where you will collect the keys and receive directions and practical information before continuing on to the house.

Casale il Loggiato is well suited to those looking for a relaxing holiday with plenty of space, a private swimming pool, and a great base for exploring Tuscany. The furnishings are simple and rustic, and the house has retained the rural charm that characterises many of the older Tuscan country homes.
