L'Incanto (meaning enchanting) is the name of this villa and it fully describes this property: a wonderful and characteristic stone villa, set amidst rich and lush nature on the hills near the medieval village of Montecarlo.
The villa is located on a spacious plot (9 acres); The garden measures 1 hectare and is divided into different levels and is partially fenced. In addition to the rustic villa that sleeps 8 people, there is also a saltwater swimming pool (12 x 5 meters and a depth of 1.40 meters). The pool area is fenced and for your use only. Outside the villa is a wonderful pergola with garden furniture, a traditional brick barbecue and a stone stove.
The large villa is divided into three floors and the house is decorated in a well-kept country style with antique furniture, the walls are painted in pastel colors and there are beamed ceilings. The owners place great emphasis on maintaining the original features of the house and have created an authentic villa.
The ground floor consists of a living room with two sofas (one with three seats and one with two seats), an armchair, fireplace, TV and CD player. Here is also a traditional brick kitchen with stove, two electric ovens, vintage wood stove, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, American coffee machine, nespresso coffee machine and kettle. From the dining area there is access to a lovely garden where there is a large terrace equipped with garden furniture, perfect for enjoying all the day's meals.
On the lower floor there is a laundry section with washing machine, iron, cleaning equipment, drying rack and a bathroom with toilet, bidet and sink.
On the first floor there are three bedrooms; one bedroom with double bed with king size bed (four poster bed), open fireplace, one armchair, a bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet, sink. Another double room with a king size bed with a bathroom with jacuzzi tub/shower, toilet, bidet and sink and a third double room with double bed (possibility to make two single beds), an armchair, en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet , sink. All three bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and mosquito net.
Next to the main building there is a smaller dependence consisting of a kitchen with stove, fridge/freezer, sink, dining table and one double bedroom, table, two chairs, wardrobe, from where there is a direct access to the garden. There is also a bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet and sink.
The beautiful fenced pool area features four sun chairs and four sun loungers, umbrellas, pool towels and is for the sole use of the guests. Here is also wifi, as in the rest of the villa.
The house has an automatic entrance gate, three parking lots near the villa, a small herb garden and air conditioning and mosquito net in all rooms. You receive a welcome pack consisting of a bottle of olive oil, a bottle of red and a bottle of white wine, all three from the nearby village of Montecarlo.
There are plenty of excursions near the villa.
The holiday home is located in the hills outside Montecarlo, where vineyards and olive groves extend as far as the eye reaches and the beautiful landscape transforms into different colors in the different seasons. Around the plot of this property there is a fence to keep out the wild boars.
The pretty medieval village of Montecarlo, situated on top of a hill, pleasant with its narrow, pretty streets, the many good restaurants, bars and charming wine cellars .... is of course worth a stroll. Taste the various specialties in the area; You will not be disappointed!
About 15 kilometers from the villa is the Pinocchio Park in Collodi; a park that has been built in honour of the Pinocchio figure and is popular among especially smaller children. There are also many wine and oil producers in the area where you can taste the local production. 20 kilometers from the villa is a golf course in Monsummano or what about visiting the hot springs and the great spas in Montecatini Terme 15 km from your holiday home?
The city of Lucca (17 km), like Florence (65 km) and Pisa (40 km) are for sure worth a visit.
Finally the sea is only 40 km from Montecarlo, so there is also the possibility of a trip to the beach and a refreshing swim in the warm Mediterranean sea.
