Taste the heavenly olive oil and wine when admiring the sun set of Todi

This is a small and charming, family-run agriturismo producing wine and cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, with breathtaking views of Todi on the hillside on the opposite side of the valley. There are three holiday apartments, accommodating between 2 and 5 guests.

The outdoor area at La Torriola

The property is surrounded by a 3,000 m² garden with a shared courtyard and barbecue, swimming pool, TV room (satellite TV), a lounge area with a new table tennis table and table football, as well as a laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Furthermore, the owners of La Torriola have planted additional flowers to increase the number of butterflies and insects and support biodiversity. More flowers have been planted around the courtyard and apartments, and the former flat lawn has been replaced with taller grass with a path running through it.

Besides being beneficial for nature, this also creates a beautiful and cosy atmosphere, with more flowers and the pleasure of walking along the path through the grass.

The swimming pool measures 12 x 6 metres (depth 1.20–2.50 metres) and is surrounded by a beautiful terrace made from handmade tiles and a large lawn. The pool is open from 1 May to 30 September.

There are sun loungers and parasols on the terrace, making the pool area a natural gathering point during your holiday. Pool towels can be rented.

The layout of the apartments

The property currently consists of three charming, rustic apartments, each with its own private outdoor seating area with garden furniture in the garden.

The apartments accommodate between 2 and 5 guests and are furnished with furniture from the local area, with many pieces created by small local craftsmen.

The owner's passion and dedication

The owner, Mauritzio, is the enthusiastic host who runs this place with great dedication and ensures that all guests have a wonderful stay. Together with his two daughters, he arranges a barbecue evening once a week if there is sufficient interest, and it is highly recommended to join. Mauritzio speaks English.

During your stay, you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the swimming pool, relax in the shade of the large mulberry tree or among the olive trees, take a walk in the forest to search for mushrooms, or go on an excursion to the charming town of Todi.

Olive oil is at the heart of La Torriola. You can participate in an olive oil course, where you will learn about and discover the secrets of olive oil. Minimum 6 participants are required.

The course takes place in the shared lounge area, which also has comfortable sofas where you can relax with a good book or enjoy some time in front of the TV.

Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome package consisting of six bottles of wine, olive oil, jam, honey, fresh eggs, vegetables and a homemade tart.

Experiences in the area

The surrounding area is ideal for excursions on foot or by bicycle. There are both easy and more challenging routes starting directly from the entrance to La Torriola.

The entire area around Todi is crossed by numerous well-marked routes. Six of these walking trails cover different types of landscapes, including country roads and historic paths, leading you through or past old villages and historic buildings, farms, vineyards and olive mills.

Mauritzio is always happy to help with maps and suggestions for routes. Horse riding is also available 3 km away.

Only 1.2 km away, in the village of Pian di S. Martino, you will find a post office, café, grocery shop, bus stop and church.

Approximately 2.5 km away, in the village of Ponterio, there is a supermarket, two banks, pharmacy, pizzeria, numerous shops and cafés, as well as a train station.

The centre of Todi (a Slow Village) is approximately 7 km away, where you can experience a charming town with narrow streets, restaurants, shops and much more.
