La Terrazza Dei Frati is an old country estate with a history dating back to the Middle Ages. It is said that the building was once used by Camaldolese monks when they visited the Roman parish church in Dicomano.

The villa's outdoor area

The villa has of course been completely renovated and is furnished in a very cosy style with tasteful furniture, beautiful wooden ceilings and exposed beams.

The 320 m² villa is located in the heart of the green Mugello Valley and enjoys a fantastic position with panoramic views over the countryside and mountains on the horizon. The house is surrounded by a beautiful, enclosed garden with a large swimming pool (7 x 14 metres, depth from 1.20 to 3.50 metres), surrounded by sun loungers and a covered area where you can seek shade during the warmer hours of the day.

The great advantage of this villa is the terraces surrounding the house. You can choose the view you prefer and enjoy the movement of the sun throughout the day. The terraces invite you to spend time together and enjoy delicious meals in the shade, with the Tuscan landscape stretching out towards the horizon.

The layout of the villa

The villa is divided into a main house (4 guests) and an annex (6 guests). The grounds are sloping, meaning that the two buildings are situated on different levels with many entrances leading directly to the garden.

The main house:
On the lower ground floor there is a lovely covered terrace with garden furniture, a dining room and a kitchen. On the ground floor (a few steps up) there is the entrance hall, a living room with fireplace and a bathroom.

On the first floor there is a connecting sitting room; one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower (WC/bidet); one bedroom with two single beds; and one bathroom with spa bath (WC/bidet).

The annex is situated slightly in front of the main house, creating a lovely additional tiled terrace between the buildings. On the ground level, the annex contains a kitchen and dining room with direct access to the covered terrace, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The upper floor consists of a large living room with fireplace, a double sofa bed and a bathroom.

La Terrazza Dei Frati is located approximately 6 km from the town of Vicchio, where you will find shopping facilities and restaurants. Florence is approximately a one-hour drive from the villa, offering galleries, museums, a wide selection of restaurants and shops.

If you enjoy shopping, the Barberino Designer Outlet is approximately half an hour away by car. Here you will find more than 100 shops featuring major Italian and international fashion brands.

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Lago di Bilancino is also only half an hour from the villa. Here you can enjoy activities such as windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.

Poggio dei Medici Golf Club is located at a similar distance from La Terrazza Dei Frati, making it possible to enjoy a round of golf during your stay. Nearby there is also a riding school if you would like to experience Tuscany on horseback.
