The villa's outdoor area

The house measures 160 m² and is surrounded by a lawn. Here you will also find the swimming pool measuring 5 x 10 metres (depth 1.20–1.65 metres) and the pergola with a charming terrace furnished with a table and chairs. This will certainly become the natural gathering point during your holiday.

The house has been restored and retains its rustic, simple and charming character, with exposed wooden ceiling beams and antique terracotta floor tiles. Some of the doors in the house are low, so tall Scandinavian guests should remember to watch their heads ;-)

The garden is fenced, and the parking area is located within the fenced property.

The layout of the villa

On the ground floor there is a large living area with satellite TV, a double bedroom and a large, modern kitchen equipped with a dishwasher. Through French doors there is access to the terrace under the pergola, where you will also find a barbecue.

Eight steps lead up to the first floor, where there is a bathroom. Another eight steps lead up to two double bedrooms, two single bedrooms and a large bathroom with a bathtub. One of the single bedrooms has a lovely terrace with views.

In total, the villa offers sleeping accommodation for 8 guests.

The surrounding area

This small house is located in the village of Scalvaia and has been restored with a private swimming pool and garden. Scalvaia is a very small and peaceful village with approximately 70 inhabitants, situated in beautiful countryside dominated by large forests stretching across hills and valleys.

In the village there is an excellent restaurant serving classic Tuscan dishes, all within walking distance of the house. In Monticiano, only 8 km from Scalvaia, you will find supermarkets, shops and restaurants.

Next to the house there is a disused tennis court. It is used once a year on 15 August, when the village celebrates its annual festival and the tennis court becomes the gathering place for entertainment and food service. This means that the lights are not switched on during the rest of the year.
