La Forra is situated in the picturesque and peaceful hills of the upper Chianti region, more than 500 metres above sea level. From here you can enjoy breathtaking views of one of Tuscany's most beautiful valleys, the Arno Valley.

The apartments at the resort

La Forra offers a truly authentic Tuscan experience. The property has six comfortable apartments as well as a number of hotel rooms, which we do not rent out. All holiday apartments have their own private terrace or outdoor seating area. All apartments are equipped with a fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher (except Gufo), coffee machine, traditional Italian moka coffee pot, and a stovetop kettle. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available for shared use; simply ask the staff for assistance.

The outdoor area

As a guest at La Forra, you can relax by the swimming pool while enjoying the spectacular views, or try some of the activities available on site, including horse riding (also suitable for adult beginners), tennis and bicycle rental. There is also a well-equipped fitness room and the possibility of booking a massage.

It is the ideal place for anyone looking for a peaceful holiday, with plenty of time to relax by the beautiful swimming pool surrounded by the picturesque green hills.

The main swimming pool measures 14 x 5 metres and has a depth ranging from 1.10 to 3.50 metres. It is surrounded by plenty of space with tables, chairs and sun loungers. There is also a quieter pool located a short distance from the main pool, where you can relax in peaceful surroundings. This pool has a depth of approximately 1.10 metres.

The owners' commitment

When we travel responsibly, we often think about how our car or flight affects the environment. However, it is also worth considering how local owners support their community and help preserve its traditions. Ernesto and Carolina at La Forra are excellent examples of this commitment.

They took over La Forra many years ago and, in addition to ensuring that everything at the property runs smoothly, they are deeply dedicated to the local area and its history. In 2005, Ernesto founded ASD Dimensione Maremma Fattoria La Forra, an association dedicated to preserving the tradition of the Maremma cattle breed. The surrounding area

Approximately 6 km from La Forra you will find the small town of Cavriglia, where there are supermarkets, restaurants and an excellent pizzeria. If you drive a little further (approximately 10 km), you will reach Montevarchi, which offers an even wider selection of restaurants, hypermarkets, a weekly market and even a Prada outlet.

From April to October you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at La Forra's beautifully situated restaurant. The restaurant is also open to non-residents, so it is advisable to reserve a table in advance.

La Forra is also an excellent base for exploring Tuscany's many historic attractions. Within a relatively short drive you can reach the famous cities of Florence and Arezzo (approximately 40 minutes), as well as Siena and San Gimignano (approximately 1 hour).
