Villa Fonte Verde is a property that surprises from the moment you arrive. From the outside, it appears to be a traditional Tuscan villa, but as you get closer, you discover the impressive glass extension that houses a private wellness area unlike anything you would expect.

This unique glass addition makes the villa perfect for holidays throughout the year. When the outdoor pool is closed during the cooler months, you can retreat to the wellness area and enjoy the spa, sauna, hydromassage, and chromotherapy facilities. There are plenty of opportunities to relax and unwind, even during late autumn, winter, or early spring. Of course, the wellness area can also be enjoyed during the summer months.

Approaching the villa through cypress trees and olive groves, you will discover the beautiful old stone farmhouse. Villa Fonte Verde was originally a traditional 18th-century Tuscan farm estate and has now been carefully restored with great respect for its history and original character.

Interior of the Villa

The villa has been beautifully designed with light colours, elegant textiles, antique furniture, and warm tones. Modern elements, such as the glass walls in the bathrooms, blend perfectly with the historic architecture, creating a home that feels both authentic and contemporary.

On the ground floor, you will find one double bedroom with a private en-suite bathroom, as well as a comfortable living area with sofas, armchairs, and a fireplace. There is also a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen featuring a gas hob, coffee machine, moka pot, toaster, kettle, oven, citrus press, and a fridge-freezer with an ice-making function.

The ground floor also provides access to an adjoining room with a traditional wood-fired pizza oven. This charming space opens directly onto the garden and is perfect for preparing and enjoying authentic Italian meals together.

The first floor is accessed via an indoor staircase and offers three additional double bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom.

The villa also includes a separate annex with a bedroom for two guests and a private bathroom, making it ideal for those who would appreciate a little extra privacy.

Outdoor Area

Outside, Villa Fonte Verde is surrounded by spacious lawns, colourful flowers, shrubs, and mature trees that beautifully frame the property.

The swimming pool is positioned to make the most of the spectacular views over the Chiana Valley, allowing you to fully appreciate the depth, shapes, and changing colours of the Tuscan landscape.

Around the pool area, you will find comfortable sun loungers, parasols, and a small seating area with a table and chairs. Just opposite, up a few steps, is the outdoor Jacuzzi, where you can relax in the evening while enjoying the breathtaking views across the valley.

The Local Area

Villa Fonte Verde is located approximately a 15-minute drive from Cortona, a charming medieval hill town where you will find everything you need during your stay. Cortona offers excellent restaurants serving traditional Tuscan cuisine, small boutiques, cafés, and cosy bars where you can enjoy an Aperol Spritz while watching the world go by.

The nearest larger supermarket is located in Camucia, approximately 11 km away.
