The holiday resort’s history and surroundings

The estate was built in the 1400s as a castle, which was meant to defend the Florentine family Bonsi della Ruota. Bonsi was transformed into a monastery in the 17th century. Today, the owners still live in the main building at I Bonsi, and the estate can be visited by appointment.

In the estate’s cellars, olive oil is still produced today – Extra Virgin Olive Oil “I Bonsi” – and the estate also produces a good red wine, Chianti di Colli Fiorentini. However, the wine production does not take place at I Bonsi. The estate also has a lovely pool area with a sun terrace.

The apartments have access to a pool measuring 8 x 10 metres with an adjoining children’s pool.

In addition, I Bonsi offers a lovely breakfast buffet every morning. In the estate’s beautiful restaurant, they have also started offering lunches and dinners in the evening if there are a minimum of 6 guests. (Pre-booking upon arrival)

There is wireless internet in the apartments and by the swimming pool.

The apartments’ interior

The estate has several buildings grouped around the villa, and in these buildings, a number of spacious apartments have been created. Although they have been kept in the original style, they still offer modern facilities and comfortable furnishings. Each apartment has its own private terrace.

The apartments are spread throughout the estate, and overall you do not feel like you are staying at a traditional holiday resort. Here, you will find very tall trees, Italian grandeur from a bygone era, and a very special sense of peace and atmosphere that must be experienced.

The Biocchi house is surrounded by a large park and has its own private courtyard. It is divided into two apartments and has retained its original structure with vaulted ceilings on the ground floor and wooden beam ceilings. The apartments Giardino, Torrino, and Pomaio are located in this building.

The Cencio house dates back to the 18th century and was once part of the monastery. In Cencio, there are three apartments: Terreno, Loggia, and Torre.
