In 1592, Donatella Cinelli Colombini's ancestors began building the Fattoria del Colle estate and subsequently started cultivating the land in Montalcino, growing vines for wine production. Over the past three generations, the property has been passed down from mother to daughter, and the next generation is already poised to continue the legacy.

Since 1998, Donatella Cinelli Colombini has been running two wineries—Casato Prime Donne and Fattoria del Colle—and has significantly transformed them by blending new technology with traditions. She has introduced a new line of exceptionally high-quality wines that bear her name. The flagship project, the "Prime Donne Project," resulted in the creation of the first Brunello wine produced exclusively by women. At Fattoria del Colle, they produce Orcia DOC and Chianti DOCG wines, all of which are of exceptional quality and entirely crafted by hand.

Fattoria del Colle is a traditional, charming Italian village built around a beautiful main villa dating back to 1592. The buildings have been converted into holiday apartments, private villas, rooms, a restaurant, a fitness center with a spa, tennis courts, a cooking school taught by a Danish instructor named Helle Tesio, lovely gardens, and a beautiful park. Amidst an unspoiled landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and cultivated fields are two swimming pools—a 5 x 12 meters pool with a depth of 1.40 meters and another pool measuring 7.20 x 15.60 meters with a depth of 1.40 meters.

Amidst Italy's most beautiful landscapes, where the scenery narrates history, Fattoria del Colle remains unspoiled, allowing guests to discover the charm of the accommodations, where each room has its own story. The holiday homes have been restored with utmost respect for this history.

Three holiday accommodations have been selected at Fattoria del Colle that best suit their guests: two villas and one apartment, all featuring private terraces and nestled away from walkways and common areas. Villa Archi accommodates 14 people with a private pool, Villa Cerentola accommodates 8-10 people, and the apartment Casa Donatella accommodates 6 people.

Every morning, the reception posts the day's activities and events that guests can sign up for—some are complimentary while others require payment. Among these activities are two wine tours held daily: a historical tour and a more wine-focused tour. All guests enjoy a complimentary wine tasting during their stay. On Wednesdays, guests can drive to the other vineyard, Prime Donne, for a free tasting at the production site.

The newly renovated spa area includes a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, and offers beauty treatments and massages.

Fattoria del Colle's restaurant is open to all—including external guests—and operates from spring to November. Guests can sign up for the evening's menu by the same morning the event is held.

Additionally, Fattoria del Colle boasts a renowned cooking school where the Danish chef Helle Tesio teaches. If guests are interested in participating in a cooking class during their stay and prefer instruction in Danish, this is an exceptional opportunity (minimum 6 participants).

The nearest small town, Trequanda, is approximately 3 km from Fattoria del Colle. There's a marked trail from the vineyard that leads directly to the town in just a 20-minute walk. Trequanda offers two restaurants, a pizzeria, and a butcher. Sinalunga, about 12 km away, provides shops, restaurants, supermarkets, a post office, a pharmacy, a bakery, bars, and almost everything guests might need.
