A passion for Sicilian culture and traditions inspired the Curatolo family to transform the former farmhouse, stables, and storage buildings of Duca di Castelmonte into a charming holiday retreat. During the renovation, great care was taken to ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay surrounded by authentic Sicilian charm.

The apartments’ interior

Each apartment has its own private entrance and can accommodate between 2 and 5 guests. The accommodation includes studio apartments, one-bedroom apartments, and two-bedroom apartments, all equipped with a kitchen, private veranda, bathroom, and air conditioning.

The surroundings of the holiday resort

The swimming pool (depth: 2.20 metres) is open from April to October from 08:00–13:30 and 15:30–20:00.

The estate grows its own vegetables, fruit, and olives, which are important ingredients in the traditional and exceptionally delicious recipes served here. These include homemade tomato paste, preserves, jams, and the special agri-pizzas prepared with locally grown ingredients.

The restaurant and cuisine at Duca di Castelmonte

Guests can enjoy traditional Sicilian dishes and local recipes from the Trapani area, expertly prepared by the property’s own chef. The restaurant is a central part of the experience, and the welcoming family atmosphere, warm hospitality, and helpful staff make guests feel at home from the moment they arrive.

The pizzeria is open every evening and also for Sunday lunch. It is possible to arrange events and private banquets for special occasions.

Breakfast is served daily and includes a delicious buffet with cakes, homemade pastries and jams, milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, and bread.

The staff at Duca di Castelmonte are happy to help arrange day trips and excursions to the charming surroundings of western Sicily, including Erice, San Vito lo Capo, and the Zingaro Nature Reserve. Taxi services and transfers can also be arranged.

Guests also have the opportunity to take part in cooking classes, where they can learn how to prepare traditional Sicilian dishes. For example, every Thursday from June to October, guests can make pizza with ricotta cheese. The experience includes tastings of the estate’s own products, such as bread and olive oil, as well as other local specialities.

Children can also join in the fun by making bread and pasta in the kitchen, creating a memorable experience for the whole family.
