Villa Casale Ruffignano dates all the way back to the 16th century. Fortunately, the owners have modernized the villa by adding amenities such as air conditioning, a dishwasher, and a washing machine, so you don’t have to live exactly as they did back then.

Luckily, the owners have left the charm of that century untouched. It can be seen and felt in the villa’s stone walls, beautiful floors, and impressive beamed ceilings – this Tuscan atmosphere is something I never tire of.

The interior of the villa is rustic, perfectly matching Villa Casale Ruffignano’s style and age.

In this villa, you’ll find 3 floors, with the ground floor featuring a living room with sofas and a fireplace, dining space for everyone, a large kitchen, a guest toilet, and not least, a “wine cellar.”

On the first floor, there are 4 bedrooms, each accommodating 2 people. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms. 

The second floor hosts the last 4 bedrooms, also accommodating 2 people each. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms. 

Outside, you are greeted by nothing less than 100 hectares of land that belong to this warm villa. No matter where you stand, you are surrounded by rolling, hilly landscapes with deep, simple, and vibrant shades of green.

There’s plenty of grass to play on when you’re not heading down the steps from the villa to the pool.

The pool's stairs have wide steps, perfect for sitting on and taking in all the scenery. If the pool becomes too lively, there are sun loungers ready, or the large lawn is also there to welcome you.

If you want to enjoy your meals outside, take a seat under the pergola for some shade while the landscape stretches out before you.

The villa is only 15 km from Cortona, the nearest town, which offers a supermarket, restaurants, and shops for you to explore.

Even though it may feel as if you are already in the green heart of Italy, surrounded by all these captivating green hues, that’s not entirely true. But Umbria is less than 30 km from Villa Casale Ruffignano, making day trips to the region an easy option.
