Casale Il Poggetto is part of the very important vineyard Pieve de' Pitti, located just southeast of Pisa. The farmhouse is located a short distance from the winery, and the owners offer wine and oil tastings in the historic wine cellars here, and they will gladly bring you with them into the wine fields to explain you their thoughts and methods of wine production.

The owners also organize Tuscan cooking school and suggestions for unique hiking, high lights in the area, cycle routes and places you should visit.

This is the ideal solution for a larger family (perhaps several generations?) Or if you wish to enjoy a relaxing holiday with good friends in lush nature. The villa is set amid the vineyards of Sangiovese and Malvasia grapes. The villa is furnished in a lovely country style with comfortable furniture, light fittings and many beautiful details - eg. exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings.

The restoration of Il Poggetto is made in accordance with bioarchitectural rules. This means that there is a lovely atmosphere in the villa, because clay and ocher from the on-site vineyard is utilized.

The villa's ground floor is La Mangiatoria with living room, a small kitchenette and double sofa bed, bedroom and bathroom. The apartment has access to a terrace with garden furniture. La Stalla with living room and a kitchenette, 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. This apartment also has access to a terrace with garden furniture. On the first floor is the apartment Il Poggetto that contains 4 double bedrooms - each with private bathroom, living room with a spacious kitchen area (with dishwasher) and a large brick fireplace. Below the stairs garden furniture is available.

One of the terraces has a stone oven where you can cook and enjoy the atmosphere that this beautiful spot offers. All the garden furniture can be assembled on one of the terraces which overlooks the pool.

The villa has its very own pool (10 x 5 m), and from all around the pool you can enjoy the fantastic view. The wooden-decked terrace here around the pool is easily a focal point for the holidays.

From Casale Il Poggetto there is approx. 1 hour driving time to the beach at the beautiful medieval village Castiglioncello and about 1 hour from Lucca. The villa is close to Lajatico where Bocelli holds concert every summer (7 km). Closest shopping is La Sterza (3 km)
