The Villa

Casa Lamate is a beautiful stone villa built in the finest Tuscan style, featuring plenty of rustic details such as exposed wooden beams, terracotta floors, and an outdoor loggia.

Add to this a wonderful panoramic view over the Valdichiana valley and the close proximity to the charming medieval town of Cortona—and you have the perfect Tuscan retreat.

The villa is arranged over three floors, and each floor has direct access from the outside.

From the main entrance, you enter the spacious kitchen, which is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. From here, you also access the conservatory, where you can enjoy most of your meals while taking in the beautiful surrounding landscape.

An arched doorway separates the kitchen from the cosy living room with comfortable sofas, where the impressive stone fireplace creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.

On the first floor, you will find three bedrooms. One double bedroom has its own private bathroom with shower. The other two bedrooms (one double bedroom and one room with a French bed and an additional single bed on the landing) share a bathroom with shower.

The fourth bedroom is located in the basement of the villa and consists of a double bed with an additional single bed. It is accessed via an internal staircase and also features a bathroom with shower, a small fitness area with a treadmill and exercise bike, as well as a laundry room.

The Outdoor Areas

The house is surrounded by a completely fenced 1,500 m² garden, making it the perfect place to enjoy peaceful and relaxing moments under the olive and oak trees.

A corner of the garden next to the house is dedicated to a barbecue area and outdoor fireplace. We are sure you will enjoy preparing meals outdoors and making the most of the wonderful surroundings.

The garden also features a lovely pool area with sun loungers and parasols. The swimming pool measures 4 x 8 metres and has a depth of 1.40–1.90 metres. To reach the pool from the house, you walk up a stone staircase. Next to the pool, there is a small annex with a kitchenette and bathroom with shower.

There is just over 1 km to the nearest restaurant/take-away and only 3.6 km to the closest town.

Casa Lamate is located only a few kilometres from the famous Etruscan town of Cortona, a place rich in traditions, culture, art, and culinary history.

Its strategic location also makes it the perfect base for exploring some of the most important cultural and historic destinations in central Italy.
