A gem in the green Umbria

Casa Colonica is an old farmhouse with a welcoming family atmosphere, situated at Vernazzano in one of the greenest valleys of Umbria between forests, olive groves, vineyards and cultivated fields. The family Mezzetti who are owners, manages the site, and each family has its own responsibilities. They also produce their own wine and extra virgin olive oil and has done so since 1960.

The place has been completely restored, but has still preserved the original architectural structure and consists of five apartments with two bedrooms and two apartments with one bedroom.

The apartments are simple and well decorated in a rustic style and terracotta floor tiles, beamed ceilings, a private entrance, central heating, a lounge, kitchenette and bathroom with shower.

In the garden there are two swimming pools for guests. One is 14 x 6 m, and the other is a round pool for children up to four years. There is also a footpath from the garden which leads through the green Umbrian hills. In addition, there is a playground for children, table tennis, mountain bikes, guided wine and olive oil tours through vineyards and olive groves, where there is also the opportunity to taste. At Casa Colonica there are also horses, donkeys and a pony which you are very welcome to come and visit and feed.

The location is ideal as there are scenic, but at the same time is Casa Colonica close to the highway, so you can easily reach the most interesting towns in Tuscany and Umbria, such as Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Gubbio, Siena, Florence and Cortona, which are all rich in culture and history.
