Family owned farmhouse in beautiful surroundings in Tuscany

Borgo Collelungo consists of 2 stone buildings that have been converted into 16 comfortable holiday apartments in typical Tuscan country style with a fresh color twist.

The location high in the hills of the Montaione area is especially convenient for you who want to visit the most famous Tuscan towns. This includes cities such as Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, Certaldo, Vinci - and many other lesser-known villages. But in addition to the proximity to good excursion destinations, the location means that there is often a fresh breeze over the place, which makes the holiday stay extra pleasant.

Borgo Collungo was formerly part of a small village in the middle of a medieval agricultural area. As the "borgo" is located on an elongated hill, the small village got its name from here: Colle lungo = long hill. From the property there is the most beautiful view of the valley Evola.

In the garden is the pool area with sun loungers. Here is also a children's pool for the little ones (5 x 3 m and 60 cm deep), and the large pool is 6 x 12 m (1.20m - 2.40m deep). We lack words to describe the view from the pool area; mountains and hills extend as far as the eye can see. A few olive trees by the edge of the pool complete the picture. Yes, it is a view you will soon forget.

The current property was opened in 1996, and is regularly maintained by owner Barbara and her family. The 16 holiday apartments have all modern comforts, and the bright and inviting ones to stay in. It is possible to buy air-conditioning if you wish.

All apartments have their own outdoor area with garden furniture and views of the garden and nature, so you can enjoy all your meals outdoors.

In addition, Borgo di Collelungo has a covered area where there is room for approx. 30 guests for communal dining e.g. when the owners decide to make a barbecue or wine tasting.

If you want it to be easy, you can order fresh bread at the reception for delivery the next morning.

Free Wi-fi in public areas. There is a playground and table tennis if you fancy a little more activity. Barbara is also happy to help book bikes, guided bike rides in the area, hiking and cooking class in Montaione.

Borgo Collelungo is well located for good restaurants. There is one at the resort of Castellare di Tonda (about 1 km) and then the best restaurant in the area (and among the best food I have had in Tuscany) is in Casa Masi (4.2 km). At Castellare di Tonda is a small shop, restaurant, bicycle rental, wellness and tennis court.
