Villa Vetrichina accommodates 12–14 guests, distributed across 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.

I have rarely stepped into a villa in Tuscany where I have felt at home so quickly. Here, you are welcomed by an exceptional warmth throughout the interiors, and it is clear that a true passion has gone into finding the perfect details. The carefully selected furniture and décor have been handpicked at antique markets and from local craftsmen, creating a unique and personal atmosphere.

The outdoor area

From the terrace, a wide stone staircase leads down to the pool area. The pool measures 11 x 6 m and has a depth of 1.3–2 m. Around the pool, you will find sun loungers and parasols, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The discreet and welcoming owner, Patrizia, is the person behind the beautiful interior design. She lives in a separate house on the other side of the road and is available to assist you during your stay. Together with the talented chef Francesco, she can prepare delicious meals for you or arrange cooking classes at their home in the charming dining room created especially for this purpose.

The layout of the villa

The villa consists of a large and inviting dining room, which is the heart of the house, with the kitchen located directly behind it. From the dining room, there is access to the terrace and the covered outdoor area. The kitchen is a truly special and cosy space, fully equipped with everything you need. Upon arrival, you will find the pantry stocked with basic essentials such as coffee, pasta, oil, bread, wine, and vegetables. The kitchen also has direct access to the terrace.

This part of the house also includes a small lounge with TV, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom. From the lounge, there is a separate outdoor entrance leading to an additional 4 sleeping places in 2 double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom.

From the ground floor, a staircase leads to the first floor, where a large living room with a comfortable sofa welcomes you. Here you will also find a fireplace and access to a beautiful covered terrace with tables and chairs. From the living room, there is access to 2 beautifully decorated double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (one with a bathtub).

The surrounding area

The villa is located just above the charming medieval town of San Casciano dei Bagni. A short drive along a gravel road through the oak forest brings you to the villa, which is beautifully situated in a clearing surrounded by nature and with its own private pool.

The area is known for its extraordinary beauty, and Val d’Orcia is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its unique landscape. It is no surprise that the region has inspired many artists throughout history.

You are located in southern Tuscany, close to both Lazio and Umbria, with countless opportunities for wonderful excursions. Explore the two lakes Bolsena and Trasimeno, visit charming spa towns and medieval villages, or simply enjoy the journey through the breathtaking landscape – which in itself is an experience.
