The Holiday Apartments

The holiday apartments at Podere La Casetta are located in a former country estate, which means that each apartment is unique and has its own individual charm. The property is family-run and has a wonderful atmosphere. Stefania and her family have created one villa (which is not available for rent) and three apartments, all named after their original purpose on the farm, such as the stable, the barn and the wine cellar.

The holiday homes are decorated in a traditional Tuscan style, and the apartments are comfortable and all of the same type, each offering two bedrooms, a kitchen and two bathrooms. Each apartment has its own terrace, and we are sure you will enjoy spending many relaxing hours here. Several of the holiday homes are spread over multiple floors.

The Outdoor Area at Podere La Casetta

Please note that there are quite a few changes in level in the garden around the apartments and on the way to the swimming pool, so the property is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

The paths leading to the pool area are lined with many green and fragrant plants, creating a beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. By the pool, you will find sun loungers and parasols, as well as a lovely gazebo where you can enjoy the tranquillity in the shade. There is also a small playground for children. When you feel like exploring, you can take walks through the surrounding woodland, passing vineyards, olive trees and saffron fields.

This property is ideal for guests who are interested in Tuscany’s wine and culinary traditions. In the main house, located a short distance from the holiday apartments, there is a large communal room with a beautiful terrace furnished with lounge furniture. Here, you will undoubtedly be invited to taste some of La Casetta’s many DOP delicacies. The family produces excellent wines, olive oil, grains and many other specialities, which you will have the opportunity to discover and also purchase to take home.

Experiences in the Area

This charming and rustic agriturismo is located near the idyllic medieval village of Montaione and offers magnificent views. From the property, you can enjoy views of the sunset, the Apuan Mountains, the Chianti hills, as well as beautiful castles, olive groves, vineyards and villages. In my opinion, it is an authentic experience of the very best that Tuscany has to offer.

The property is perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain biking. If you would like to cycle, the owners can arrange for bicycles to be ready for you upon arrival. If you would like to play tennis, you can use the tennis court at Rodilosso, which is located approximately a three-minute drive from Podere La Casetta.

In Montaione, you will find several restaurants, a Coop supermarket, a church, cafés and a selection of shops. There is also a weekly market day. Not far from the property (approximately 800 metres away) is La Terrazza, which is located at a petrol station. However, do not be misled by the location, as this is a place where you can enjoy a very good meal.
