Poggio Cennina is a charming and well-maintained country estate situated on a hill with views over Val d'Ambra, as well as stunning vistas of the southern part of Chianti.

The estate comprises 10 fine and lovely apartments and 3 independent villas, all varying in size. All accommodations are located in a tiny Tuscan village in the middle of a lush and rolling landscape, approximately 360 meters above sea level.

Description of the accommodations

The apartments and villas are tastefully decorated with quality furniture, and each bedroom has its own bathroom. All rooms are also equipped with air conditioning and mosquito nets. The apartments additionally feature a dining room, living room, and a well-equipped kitchen with essential utensils, a dishwasher, refrigerator, and freezer. The accommodations are rustic and inviting, with a focus on a warm style using quality textiles.

Each apartment and villa has a private terrace with outdoor furniture, allowing you to dine al fresco and relax undisturbed in front of your own holiday home.

Poggio Cennina offers a wide range of facilities and activities: a large pool measuring 18 x 9 meters with a depth between 1.2 and 1.4 meters, a jacuzzi area of 6 x 4 meters, a tennis court, a small football field, mountain bikes available for free use, a fitness room, a Turkish bath, and free Wi-Fi available in the communal areas.

Dining options are available on-site 2–3 times a week, and the bar is open daily, offering coffee, drinks, and light meals for lunch. Breakfast can also be purchased.

The history behind Poggio Cennina

Poggio Cennina was originally owned by the famous Italian football player Paolo Rossi, best known for his outstanding performance during the 1982 World Cup, where he was the tournament's top scorer and played a decisive role in Italy's victory. Rossi was later honored with the Ballon d'Or in the same year.

He was not only a legendary football player but also a passionate lover of Tuscan nature and lifestyle. Paolo Rossi envisioned Poggio Cennina as a place where guests could experience authentic Tuscany and enjoy peace and tranquility in a unique setting.
